Brain Awareness Week, held yearly in March, is a celebration of arguably the coolest organ! All around the world, events are held to raise awareness, provide outreach, and have brain-related fun.
This year, our events will include a movie night, TED talk-style public lecture, and hosting Hardy Middle School for science day. Check out our Facebook page for more information on the events! The schedule of events is below:

Volunteer opportunity!
The local chapter of Society for Neuroscience will be holding an outreach event at the National Museum of Health and Medicine on Monday, March 14 (9:30-11:30am, 12-2pm). The event targets local middle school students, and small groups of students will have the chance to experience hands-on activities about the brain and its role in behavior. They need volunteers to help man the stations and engage with students about the brain. Volunteers are welcome to come for either the morning or afternoon session (or both).
