Hot Topics in Health Science is a public seminar series organized by the Georgetown University Medical Center Graduate Student Organization (MCGSO).
The goal of the Hot Topics series is to inform the public of a range of scientific issues of interest and relevance to daily life.

Etc.
Description
At each series gathering, a current issue in health science will be presented by two or more scientists including graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, or faculty members.
The talks will be geared toward a general audience, and will consist of a short (10-15 min) presentation on a specific subject, followed by plenty of time for discussion and questions from the audience.
Talks will take place at Georgetown University, in the Leavey Center Sellinger Lounge (outside Uncommon Grounds), the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm (starting November 6, 2013).
